Just completed our interview about an Hour ago jn Nashville . We were there about 2 hours. We were separated... lots of question. Husband messed up on color of Curtains in bedroom  and If there is a window in the bathroom.

No decision yet.....😳

I forgot that me and the spouse attended my spouse's grandmother funeral like two weeks ago and still we got approved so I'm sure you'll be fine :)

Day 200 since our last update. Still no EAD or AP. Two case inquiries filed -- one this week and one about a month ago... neither of which have been responded to. Sigh.

Remember when USCIS got rid of the legal requirement to adjudicate EAD cases in under 90 days but promised it would still do so in the large majority of cases? About that...

01/22/2018: Filed I-129F

10/11/2018: K-1 Interview (Guangzhou, China) -- approved at last!

02/14/2019: POE

02/21/2019: We're married, baby!

03/29/2019: Filed for AOS, EAD, and AP

02/07/2022: Filed for ROC

I had my interview on 9th October. Stupid Doctor didn't fill the form for all vaccination. Only filled for the ones I took. Didn't tick accordingly for the ones I didn't need. Hence, the IO said he can't approve me on the spot. He said he'll try and send the letter out by the end of that week. But it's already towards end of 2nd week today. No letter from uscis yet.

How long does it take to get the rfe after interview? This is so frustrating. Have been in this process for more than 2.5 years now. And as we see a light at the end, it gets stretched more.  Please help. Thank you

I have been waiting 221 days for an I-131 & I-765 approval now.   I have also filed two case inquiries, the first online and the second (last week) via Tier 2.   Neither of the inquiries have been assigned for review.

Now I am preparing to submit a request to the Ombudsman, just need to wait for the 60 days past "normal processing time".  But that has not moved much in the last 45 days either.    I suggest reading the 2019 Ombusman report to get an idea how bad processing "promises" are missed by the USCIS.   Starting on page 70 they discuss issues with EAD adjudication.

For those fortunate enough to have been scheduled an I485 interview at their local office, how long did the letter containing the date take to arrive?

My interview was scheduled on Tuesday 15th October, so tomorrow it will be a week. Still no letter and I really want to know the date and start preparing.

About a week. The envelope said it came from the National Benefits Center.

We saw online August 21st it was scheduled. Letter arrived August 26th (and that included a weekend). I would expect you get it this week. And from everything I've read it turns out to be about a month exactly from when you get it, so I bet your date is third week of November -- right before Thanksgiving.

Also, I printed off the letter that someone else posted here...they're all exactly the same. And I just used that to prepare. It's just copies of basically everything you've already sent in, so it wasn't hard. He looked at nothing except the photos I brought. So I personally would spend the most time on that, since everything else they technically already have. I just put together photos with captions of what they were and printed two to a page -- brought about 8 photos or so of things we've been doing since he moved here. He oohed and aahhed over each photo and asked if each thing was fun lol.

It can vary. For example, sometimes USCIS doesn't forward your SSN request to the SSA. Once you have the EAD in hand you can go in person to the SSA and inquire if a request is pending on their system. If there isn't a pending request, then you can submit SS-5: https://www.ssa.gov/forms/ss-5.pdf
