My EAD / AP expires February 2020

Should I be sending in the two renewal forms now to ensure continuous work permit and advance parole?

You can submit both I-765 and I-131 for free renewal. The I-765 receipt notice will auto-extend the EAD part till August 2020: https://www.uscis.gov/working-united-states/automatic-employment-authorization-document-ead-extension If the I-131 is still pending after the February date, then don't leave the US until either the I-485 or I-131 is approved; the AP part doesn't auto-extend. Check out the following thread:

At what point do you go straight to a 10 year green card?

When the I-485 is approved after the 2-year marriage anniversary.

If your interview will be after your second wedding anniversary you’ll get the 10 year green card. And apply for the renewal now before it will get backlogged more!

Had my interview a few days ago. Unfortunately, my spouse (Petitioner) was unable to attend the interview because he is currently away on military orders. I was very nervous going alone and not wanting to reschedule. All in all, the interview went okay. With A LOT of questions! I was told a decision could not be made right away and to wait 30-60 days. The following day I received update that my case was approved! Day 220! 🙌🙌🙌

Congrats!!

Day 176... will this be the week for EAD

My husband has a pending job offer... do you guys think it would be a good idea to request an expedited approval based on this, or would it be more likely to mess something up/set us back at this stage?

Call the USCIS and ask to talk to a tier 2. Then contact your Congressman's office, tell them you need help with your immigration process and explain the situation to them.

I am in the same situation as you. I have a job offer and l am lucky that my future employers was kind enough to give me until Nov 1st to get my paperwork in order. So I called USCIS and asked to talk to a tier 2. He immediately saw that I had already filed 2 inquiries, and put in an expedite request for my EAD based on the process being past the processing time. I didn't even have to ask! I'm still waiting for the EAD to be approved but they have already emailed me saying that they received my expedite request and my I-485 case finally changed to "ready to be scheduled for interview".

Keeping my fingers crossed for both of us!

Finally got NOA on EAD & AP. Did an online inquiry once eligible and the online info changed two days before the date the inquiry promised a response by. Now to await the card and to pray the AOS gets scheduled within the year so we don’t have to go through the renewal process. (I’m less optimistic about this one, but fingers crossed).

I though my Peace Corps experience taught me patience...😂 not compared to this!

I gave my Congressman's office a copy of my job offer letter, but I haven't heard back from them 😔
I might call the USCIS again tomorrow and ask the tier 2 to upgrade my expedite request.

Thanks for the tip 😉

100%

For me the local congressmen or senator were only useful once you’ve started the process. Calling USCIS to request expedite, then calling them every week to enquire about it.

My congressman finally called USCIS after 3 - 4 weeks of waiting and I was approved the very next day!

After 224 days my EAD/AP have been approved!!! 😆 And my GC interview has been scheduled! So much activity on my account this week 🥳

USCIS said in early Sept that my case may have been restarted at the time of my RFIE in June but it looks like in reality it delayed my case by 4 weeks. I hope this can be somewhat comforting to others in a similar situation.

Congrats, I wonder why ours took so long, we didnt have any RFEs, at some point I was starting to worry that we did get one and it was lost in the mail or something.
