thank you so much!!!

yeah I think that's what she meant, to sign it for the mailman.. Honestly, it would probably be a good thing to start having people sign for their green card given how important of a document it is and how many times things get lost in the mail haha (like what happened with your EAD a while back lol)

Yeah... what a nightmare was that 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
I’m so glad it’s over for 2 years!

Exactly a week! But that was weird cause I didn’t see a tracking number for the green card.

ah that's pretty quick, thank you!

Hey everyone, March filer here!

So excited that I finally got my interview letter in the mail!! It's been scheduled for March 23, so I've got a bit of time to get ready for it.

My most pressing concern is this:

My husband has changed jobs since we filed the AOS last year. Is it enough to just bring an updated I-864 and recent pay stubs with us on the interview date, or do we need to mail this in advance?  If anyone else has experienced something similar, I'd really appreciate your opinion. Thanks!

Congratulations for your interview appointment!

Also, you don’t have to send the anything just bring the current papers (new paystubs etc) to the interview.

Thank you, that's a huge relief!

Now we'll just prepare all our documents and be ready on the day :)

Hey everyone,

So I’m very anxious about our interview on Wednesday 😬 My husband (USC) has ‘filed’ his original birth certificate a little too safely so all

I have is his passport and a photocopy of his BC as I made extra copies at the K1 state - will that be ok? Also we don’t have a ton of evidence, we have as follows;

Marriage Certificate plus photocopies

Joint credit card statements

Joint Healthcare Info plus photocopies

Photos of wedding, photos of us together and with friends and both families

Cards from friends and family

2017, 2018 tax returns, we have filed 2019 but still waiting for it to come back

Letter from hubby’s employer

Hubby's paystubs

Copies of AOS paperwork

Both passports plus photocopies

My original BC plus photocopies

MY EAD/AP card plus photocopies

Both social security cards plus photocopies

Hubby (USC) will take his driving license and state ID

All NOAs

Medical info from Knightsbridge (UK)

Police reports

I haven’t labeled up any photos they are just laid out in albums but organized.

Am I missing anything? Do I have enough? I need some peace of mind 😰

While form does request USC birth certificate, we were never asked for it. I think the main purpose of it is to ascertain

that USC is US citizen, so having passport would have it covered. How did he file it it?

For me you are good to go! 😃 I’m rooting for you!
Also, after the successful interview (because it will be) your homework is to go to H&M and buy a nice dress for the celebration dinner!

So I’m the subway back to work after our interview and thought I would do a quick write up before I forget!

We are at the NYC office in Manhattan and our interview was at 10:45am. We arrived 20 mins early and had to wait for maybe 2.5 hours it was so busy but expected.
We were called in by a man who was actually really nice but very professional. I felt like we got really grilled 😂 he took some of our photos, and copies of our joint medical etc. He asked us why we had only filed 1 year (2019) jointly in taxes but then he laughed and was like of course you’ve only been married 1 year lol.

my husband stumbled and couldn’t remember dates but I could see He was really nervous.

We were in there for about 30 mins and he said said it will take about 2-3 weeks to get the card if all goes well.

not sure if I think it was good or bad to be honest! Fingers crossed
