Congratulations!  And to answer your question, our timelines are very close.  We started three weeks before you, but we also got an RFIE which took us a month to respond to. Our EAD approval date is the same but we got the card earlier. It's very interesting to compare our experiences!  Let me know when you get your interview date. We're anxiously awaiting. Our lawyer is expecting the interview to be held 5 weeks from the notification.

I will let you know! Best of luck to us. 🤞

Hi Everyone,

This website and the people who are on it and moderate it have made the immigration process so much less intimidating.

Thanks to the information I have learnt on this site I managed to secure my SSN and driving licence waaaaaay before my EAD, making the transition into a new country so much easier.  All without the help of the ludicriously priced lawyers.

It would take me forever to thank everyone who helped me along the way . . . . you know who you are.

Today I collected my green card from our mailbox!

I just sent my EAD/AP renewal and it will be adjudicated in April-may 2020. I'm not expecting my interview until dec 2020 although I hope they will interview me in 2021 so that I will get my 10 years GC. So yeah I'm not in hurry 😉

I took my NOAs and Marriage certificates ‘just in case’ to make myself feel more prepared. The USA border didn’t look at any of it, they just wanted my combo card and passport. The airline in the U.K. took a brief look at them when I offered them as they looked a bit confused when I presented my Combo card.

I always have a copy with me so if they scan and email it to you then you print it that’s fine.

BTW congratulations on the interview!

I'm having them scanned and emailed to me. Luckily I'm home for quite a bit so no stress to get them. I'm so nervous for our interview now!

To be honest it was the weirdest interview ever! Not difficult at all. No need to be nervous at all. Take copies of all original documents and a few loose pictures for them to keep.

My husband was in Ireland and we got notice that the interview was scheduled. He came back with the AP no problems and didn't show anything else. They honestly could barely have cared and just checked in the system and then stamped him and he was on his way. You'll be fine and CONGRATS!

Thanks, they just scheduled ours! I'm anxious to find out when the date is, I wish they would just post it online when they scheduled it! I had my friend go to the house and scan me the documents for ap and she was like "it was so easy to find, you are sooo organized"! 😂

I'm sorry for causing you anxiety. The USCIS website does not specifically said to bring NOAs and Marriage Certificate, so do not worry. It was just my friend told me to bring those in case I'll be going outside US and go back to make sure smooth process with CBP officer.
