Hello,

my fiancée has just arrived in the US and we would like to get married and file asap? Does anyone know a place where we can get a marriage certificate right away, preferably the same day of the wedding? We are in Los Angeles and things take forever here. I need to file before a business trip on October 12th.

thanks!

My husband and I just got married at the Old Orange County Courthouse in Santa Ana. It's a beautiful courthouse, only used for weddings, and we got our Certified marriage certificate in less than two weeks. Orange County processes Wedding Certificates much, much faster than L.A. County.

Go straight up the 15 to Los Vegas. It's only 4+ hours to Vegas from LA anyway.

All the neighboring counties to LA do; we were married in Riverside Country (Temecula has an outdoor wedding area, which was why we were there; San Diego County is fine, even if they really discourage you from marrying downtown). Orange County is also the least expensive if that matters to you.

We got married in Ventura one hour drive from LA. we got the marriage license, had our wedding and got the certified copies by hand the day we took it back to register.

I think it could be even quicker if the wedding happens there but no clue how that process works.

We were going to get married in Burbank so we would have to use LA county, but have changed our plans to get married in Northern California nearer to where we live instead just because of the delay. The suggestions for Riverside, Orange, Ventura and San Diego counties all seem pretty good. There are SO many pretty spots in Ventura County -- I love Ojai, personally.

Come to Vegas, I can have you married and certificate in hand in about 3 hours. PM me and I'll send you my number. And I'll do it for free, you pay for the license only.1598654400_IMG_20190829_0332322.thumb.jpg.a779067cbac65fe6b99f089e3476ea7d.jpg

Legally I believe the officiant has 1 week to submit the papers and have it recorded. We specifically asked for our minister to expedite and it wasn't an issue.

FWIR recording is done M-F. We got married on a Sunday, went to the Grand Canyon on Monday and picked up a bunch of Certificates Tuesday morning first thing.

By law we have 10 days. I will submit it same day with couple standing next to me. You can have your certificate then and there. Within 5 min of walking into the clerk's office. If you pre fill out the wedding license online, it will speed things up. I honestly think on a weekday I could get the whole process done in under a hour. I say 3-4 hours to be safe. If you don't want anything fancy I can marry couple in my car from the license bureau on the way to the clerk's office. A few minutes to fill out the license, and then get it recorded.

I can't wait for our first VJ-performed VJ marriage!

Exactly, who wouldn't want to get the whole thing done with certificate for under a hundred dollars. It's win win all the way around.
