That's just mean. I used to have a Nest and I always thought I was putting it on Cool but somehow it ended up on Eco mode all the time. It was really frustrating. I'd even try to adjust it on the Nest device itself but somehow it just reverted to Eco.

Well, I like small. For right now. :innocent: Check in with me after I've decided to buy another big house when I can't take having to deal with living in close proximity to someone who still thinks at the age of 34 that maybe, just maybe, he can be in a successful band. I need a soundproof room for his terrible bass playing!

If you think husbands are bad, just wait till you have kids. Stepping on lego blocks 10 times a day probably did more than anything else to convince me to have my own "off limits" den/man cave. Once you do that, it's hard to go back.

Yeah, if we have a kid, I will NOT be living in a 500 sq ft studio! If that happens, I will probably want us to move back to Burbank/Pasadena so I can be closer to my parents. Even though my dad is being seduced into Fox News watching and MAGA by my insufferable ex-husband (who is still buddies with my dad because... reasons?), I still want both my parents to have active roles as grandparents.

Presumably in CA there are services to help those who are tempted to the MAGA side.

2.  Accumulation enables constant upgrading.  You should see our closetful of plush bath towels and my collection of top-name business suits (only about 1 of approx. 22 was bought retail, and none of the 21 cost more than $20).

Windshield glass?  Maybe the side glass, but windshields have to be sawed to get access in an emergency.

Yeah I meant side window. I have kicked a windshield in from the outside, but I have heard it can’t be done from inside. It had some kind of stuff holding it together. Took a lot of effort. It cracked into tiny pieces but still stayed in place. That was many years ago. I’m sure it’s harder to do now, or maybe impossible. Car safety wasn’t really much of a deal back then.
