N400 while I751 is pending package assembly

Hello!

I am about to apply for citizenship using 3 year rule while i751 is pending. I attended a citizenship workshop, in which I have been told that I do NOT need to send evidence of bona fide marriage with N400 since USCIS already has it from I751. However, this would go against what the instructions say on the n400 form itself. I would normally go only by the USCIS instructions, but there were 3 lawyers at the workshop from a reputable immigration firm who were acting like I was crazy for thinking of sending the box of stuff and they said they have had many clients in the same situation as me who only sent in the application + required docs but NOT evidence of bona fide marriage. They said "if it makes you feel better, attach tax returns".

Does anyone have any experience with this? Filing online if that matters.

No experience with N-400, BUT... I would listen to the instructions on a USCIS form over a lawyer anyday of the week. Yeah it's probably extra work to submit the evidence, but if it gives you a fractional better chance of not getting an RFE or denial, why wouldn't you do it?
