No. I didn’t do anything about it. Thought I’d give it a couple more months and if I still hv no news I will email them. Really don’t know what else I can do…

Did you ever try to expedite? I’ve seen that sometimes when people tried they got a delay of about a month

Hi All,

I have received my RCMP clearance in April 2022 and Indian PCC in May 2022. I have uploaded both for NVC to review and they have accepted it. Since then I have only travelled to the states.

I am expecting IL in couple months, do you know if I will need to apply for both(RCPM and Indian) police clearances or just RCMP? Since I did not go to india, my understanding is that I will not need it but I just want to confirm.

According to the Montreal consulate pre interview checklist, if it’s been more than 12 months after uploading to the NVC , then you need to take a new PCC at the time of the interview . I would say it’s good for a year . But I took a new RCMP PCC since it was easy to obtain , Indian PCC I kept the old one.  It’s upto you basically . It would be nice to keep an updated PCC of the current country of residence.

Visa approved. My interview was at 9 am this morning. They let me 5 mins early inside the building . It was -16C in Montreal today with the wind . So pretty cold . Pretty easy process.  In first window counter , questions asked were
1. Is it first marriage
2. Who is the petitioner?
3. Address of the petitioner  and applicant ?
4. Phone number of petitioner and applicant.
5. Asked for latest financial documents that’s not uploaded to the nvc portal

6. Police clearance certificate, marriage certificate and birth certificates originals, and one passport size photos .

In the second window the main interview  , the questions were
1. When and where was your marriage
2. Profession and education of petitioner and applicant
3. Where is the spouse working and title?

4. How many countries I have visited apart from India, usa and dubai ?
5. Have you ever been arrested?

6. how long I have been in the USA before ?

that’s pretty much it . Very nice and easy since I had all the documents before hand .

When i started the process it was C21 and changed to F21 on Jan 1 .My case got DQ in Nov 2022
