Yup, I was approved. Process was pretty smooth - go to consulate, line up, get called up according to time slots to go inside.

Went upstairs, they asked for my original birth certificate, passport photo, petitioner's latest tax transcript and W2. Once I got called up for interview, they asked me to speak a bit about my relationship with my petitioner, asked me a very easy questions regarding my past and then was told I was approved.

@Technick,  @Vijayg How was your interview? We hope you got approved. Please share your experience!

Yes, I was approved. Process went smoothly. They asked few basic question. Who is your petitioner? How did you met? do you have kids together? where is he live in US and what he so for living? illegal entry or overstayed in US? any criminal records? That's all. I would highly  recommend to upload all tax and i-864 prior to interview.

Congratulations @Vijayg - did you need to fill out an updated I864 form and uploaded  online or did they require you to fill out an updated I864? Thanks!!

Thanks! We updated and uploaded it before the interview, but they didn't ask at the interview. They asked for original birth certificate, married certificate & police clearance and 1 passport size photo.

Hi All

Firstly I would like to say this thread is great.

My wife has applied for a F2A visa, her DQ is 29-OCT-2020. We had a son during the process and he was added to the application and his DQ is 16-APR-2022.

Looking at the tracking spread sheet, would I be correct in assuming my wife/son will get a IL sometime between September - December this year?

Thank you so much for all your help

Thomas

Hello Thomas, I don't want to kill your hope, but unless NVC changed their procedures recently,  your son's DQ will be the actual DQ date that NVC uses to schedule the interview for your wife and your son. It may be a little too optimistic to expect a IL this year IMO.
