Thanks for this info, for anyone else curious the exact quote is:

Quote
  • Montreal has rescheduled most Preference category applicants in Tiers Three and Four whose interviews were cancelled in March and April of 2020. In October 2021 we will start to schedule new Tier Three and Four cases that were documentarily qualified in approximately September 2019.

does anyone know how they schedule based on dq? will it be based on monthly DQ?

in oct 2021, those that are sept 2019 DQs interviewed.
nov 2021, those that are oct 2019 DQs interviewed.
dec 2021 = nov 2019 DQ and so forth..

is that how it usually works?

I am a green card resident. Back in 2018, I talked to a very qualified lawyer who told me that the best way to secure my wife's greencard would be through consular processing. This decision is causing my marriage to fall apart and I don't know how I will go on.

We were fully Documentarily Qualified in November 2020.

Right now, the Montreal embassy is planning to schedule September 2019 DQ application interviews in October 2021.

We almost have another year of waiting for the green card (11 months to my guess of August 2021).
My wife is doctor and needs to get into residency. Applying within 3 years of graduating from medical school and doing so with the ability to work (a green card, if doing adjustment of status, getting a work permit). That means having her green card by March 2021 at the latest, which seems like an impossibility.

I've sent expedite requests based on my emotional health, my physical health (with a letter from doctor + prescriptions), my wife's career being cut off at the legs, and finally based on her ability to contribute to the covid pandemic response (they said they had special rules/process for that?). Nothing has worked.

I applied for US citizenship on July 13 2020 online via USCIS. Most people I know got their citizenship within 3 months. I am at 14 months now and the only status update I have is: "Things are taking longer than expected. You do not have to do anything at this time." Even if that were to suddenly come in, I don't know how long it would take to convert this to an IR case, and then wait for the separate IR processing time.

I've tried contact my local congress woman for help. No responses to my emails or voice mails left.

I just don't know where to go from here. I am in despair and I don't have a way out.

===== Montreal current interview rate =====
Assuming they continue at monthly cadences, generally we're looking at for my Nov 2020 DQ date.
1x December 2021
1.25x October 2021
1.33x September 2021
1.5x August 2021
1.66x July 2021
1.75x June 2021
2x May 2021

===== Potential future rate =====
To see what might clue us in for their cadence speed, we can look at Montreal visa issuance numbers as per https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-statistics/immigrant-visa-statistics/monthly-immigrant-visa-issuances.html

All F type visas issued:

January 2019 103
February 2019 210
March 2019 148
April 2019 73
May 2019 74

January 2021 0
February 2021 0
March 2021 5
April 2021 10
May 2021 56
June 2021 84
July 2021 106

Just FX visas issued:

January 2021 0
February 2021 0
March 2021 0
April 2021 5
May 2021 19
June 2021 15
July 2021 14

Just the FX (e.g. F2A) visa subcategory isn't descriptive at all. Looking at the number of visa's issued, you can see the affects of the embassy opening up. Feb 2019 saw a peak of 210 visas issued, which would be double what we've had (which establishes the best case w.r.t visa issuance).

Current list as I understand it.   I hope some people can update it.

@saadistic1 Applicants should be prepared to show that they will be employed in the healthcare industry at a U.S. facility engaged in pandemic response.

you know which type of proof will be beneficial
