I am f3 dq dec10/2019 my question is does priority is given according to your visa category or it is first in first out

Hi Chauhanmanish.

Based on everyone posting about F2A visa above there is certainly a longer wait from DQ than CR1/IR1 and EB visas for the CR1/IR1 and EB visa it seem to take ~5-6 months and for the F2A visa it appears to be ~8+ months, look at the previous posts and you will see the most recent F2A's (250+ days).

No we have not received interview, we got our visa class changed to IR1, was requested in October and got done last month, so not sure when we get our interview.

What is IR1?

If you mind me asking why request the change? To potentially speed up the interview date?

Thank you

If you login into CEAC it will show Visa Class on top below the NVC Case Number.

Visa Class: IR1/CR1 - is spouse of US Citizen

Visa Class: F21/C21 - is spouse of US Permanent Resident (Corresponds to F2A Category)

Link below has all categories

https://www.dhs.state.mn.us/main/idcplg?IdcService=GET_DYNAMIC_CONVERSION&RevisionSelectionMethod=LatestReleased&dDocName=CM_0010181503

NVC allows upgrade to IR1 if your spouse becomes US Citizen and it can be done by sending copy of US passport and Naturalization certificate via Ask NVC request.
