Reactions to Friday’s Events

Biden’s reactions to this female moderator are presently being branded as sexist and condescending. Moreover, in light of Biden’s past controversies of inappropriately touching women, certain critics are claiming that he isn’t up to task. It’s also worth noting that Biden did not directly answer Lenz’s questions.

Additional witnesses of events which transpired at the LGBTQ Presidential Forum suggested that Biden gets a pass because other people have seen older men exhibit this behavior.

You asked the question why would someone imagine a different coverage of the same type of event from former VP Biden and President Trump.  It seems leftist media bias would be a good answer to that question "why".

It isn't the right venue to call someone "sweetheart." There are many perfectly good ways of saying someone is nice, or personable, or polite, or affable, or whatever, that don't have the gendered overtones of a word like "sweetheart." In this context it is condescending to describe a professional this way.

 

I don't like Biden. I didn't like him when he was "Uncle Joe" as vice-president -- I thought he was the kind of man who passed off his creepiness as slightly out of date concern for women, who claimed he was a feminist as cover for his lechy behavior. I was NOT popular with my friends for thinking this!  But I know more than a few "feminist" men who are completely happy to say they are fighting in your corner for self-actualization while they're staring at your chest, or whose eyes you can feel follow your bottom out of a room. Biden's one of those guys.

You had better stay away from Alabama then.  There’s about 9 different ways “sweetheart” is used, and only one of them means what you think it means.
