Do we leave blank if it doesn't apply?

Finishing up forms I-485, I-765, I-864, and I-131, and we are just wondering for all number spots and word blanks (adobe auto locked out a lot of them that didn't apply after selecting a certain choice), do we leave them blank that don't apply to her, or is there any way of tackling these response areas that don't apply to her?

Example being USCIS account number blank

From any and every USCIS form instructions:

so understanding this correctly, all numeric are none and word blanks are N/A

But that also marks the question, why are all the prefilled example documents for AOS on VJ where they didn't apply left blank and not filled in with N/A or none?

Also what about the areas where adobe auto locks out the choices if they don't apply, we also left them blank just like in the pre filled out I-129F and it all went through smoothly, but we don't leave blanks here?

Because who ever made the example however many months/ years ago waa a rebel and could careless about the impression they made on their adjudicating office who sees thousands of these petitions and could quite possibly put yours in the jerk pile for not following the instructions thus delaying your process.

You were advised earlier on a better PDF filler to use that wont do that. That or hand write the answers in black ink that you have to (as per instrictions that were printed and read).

Despite the instructions saying to write N/A or none in field that don't apply … there's absolutely no evidence that skipping fields that are locked out (assuming you're using Adobe Acrobat Reader; USCIS does not test forms in other PDF readers) is a problem. They really need to update the instructions to match how the fillable PDFs work.

We left locked fields blank on all of our forms; this hasn't caused any issues with our I-129F (K-1 petition), I-765 (EAD), or I-131 (AP), and Anastasia's GC interview is Wednesday so I expect it wasn't a problem there.

where it asked for USCIS # we typed in "NONE" for her, should we leave it as none or just blank it or does that matter?  And thanks for the feedback, what we were going to do since Adobe for some reason doesn't let you use "/" was going to handwrite in N/A, but if we don't need to since you left the lockable fields blanked out and were fine we would like to leave them blank.  We don't want any handwriting if possible as the typing is so so so much neater.

N/A or NA is the same

YMMV

we saw a post where they said it wasn't safe to put NA because it can be mistaken for a word, as in if no middle name and put NA there, could be an RFE as NA isn't the middle name.

We have also seen people get middle names of NONE.

what possible rfe could be received for a middle name?

YMMV

True, just trying to be really cautious, we are deciding to leave most blank that doesn't apply as DaveandAna said here:

The only other blank amongst some of the AOS forms that we were a little questionable about was where it asked "current status",  we decided to put "K1 VISA HOLDER/OUT OF STATUS" For her, we werent certain if this needs to be explained in the need more space section, or if its alright by itself, what do you think?

K1.  You are adjusting from your last entry status.

there's no need to put out of status just k1?, She wont get in trouble if don't put out of status?  We were told by another person to put out-of-status, so just not sure exactly what to put

No such thing as k1 out of status.  You are adjusting from the status of your last entry as indicated on the i94.  If the i94 says you entered as a k1, that is your answer.   You are way overthinking this.

yeah most likely, we were just really cautious because applying for AOS when I-94 expired, so her current status is "K1" even tho filing with I-94 is expired, and the expiration has no changing of her "current status" of k1?

if all that is true we will put K1 for her

Thanks so much in advance
