Hi! So after 2 months and 2 weeks from filing of my AOS, the status is now ready to be schedule for interview. May I ask if it means we got our papers completed or we might still get an RFE? How long usually it will take to get a sched for interview? Will the combo card arrive first before the interview? I'm from Montana by the way. 😊Thanks!

You can get an RFE at any time during your visa process. Due to current protracted processing times and dispersal of the workload, there really isn't any "usual" time to get scheduled for the interview. Due to same protracted processing times, and workload dispersal, you may receive your combo card before of after the interview. A review of some recent AOS forum threads, would likely not reveal any discernible pattern. A lot seems to depend on the local field office, check reviews of the field office for possible clues, https://www.visajourney.com/reviews/

Good luck on your immigration journey.

Not sure what the usual is but for us we got our interview scheduled about 3 weeks after our status was "ready to be scheduled." If you keep checking your status, it will change to "interview was scheduled" and that's when you know to be checking the mail. We did not get our combo card yet and likely will have the green card before EAD and AP.

Thank you! Based here on my state and field office they said it might change after 3 weeks, same as what you had. Hopefully everything goes well. Is it in the mail notice what to bring during interview?

Yup, bring the mail notice and everything on the mail notice (they provide a list!).
