Me and my wife have our first interview (I believe it is the 485 interview).  We ran into a snag while she was having her medical in Kiev, she did not have her immunization records with her.  She has them with her, but they are in Russian and our interview is in a couple weeks.  I didn't know this until she told me after we have our appointment date (in a couple weeks).  The one translator business I talked with said the record isn't legible enough for them to translate.  Now what do I do?  What happens if we show up to the interview with them as they are? Does she need to get all the shots again and is there a risk involved in getting the same shot twice in your life?

Thanks in advance everyone

Did she not get the ds3025 at the medical in Kyiv?

If not, you cannot show up without the vaccinations being transcribed onto the I693 by a civil surgeon

No, we did turn in a large envelope at the POE (Seattle), but have no idea what is in it.

Did she have her vaccinations records with her at the medical?

They will need to be transcribed by a civil surgeon.   If you cannot get them translated,  the civil surgeon will decide what she needs, if any.  Most common are mmr and tdap

and if they are not legible enough for the civil surgeon to translate?  I've already had the only company in our city evaluate the record and they cannot translate it.  not legible enough

Civil surgeon will not translate.   That is something you need to do before.   If it can't be translated then the civil surgeon will know what to do.   You are not the first to have this issue

no, she didn't have them with her, so they never got included in the package.  So now I have the original Ukrainian copy and an appointment in a little over 2 weeks.  I am first trying to cross the first hurdle and get the records officially translated.

She did not have to have her prior vaccination record with her at her overseas medical exam to get the vaccines done at the medical exam. They would have tested her for immunity and given her the shots she needed and filled out a DS3025 based on what they gave her or what the test results said. They would have NOT included her prior vaccination records IN her medical exam packet. Those are irrelevant and are just used to avoid having to do an immunity test. If she did not bring her record to the exam they would have simply tested her and given her what she needed or from the immunity test, filled out her DS3025 accordingly.

Did she or did she not have them done at her medical exam? Or did she choose not to be tested at all? Please ask her! This isnt as confusing as you think if you collect the right information.

If you did not receive a copy of your DS3025 from your Panel Physician in Kiev as they were supposed to you can email or call them and ask for it. They would have filled one out and submitted it in her medical exam packet REGARDLESS of if she got the vaccines AT the medical exam or not. Looking at your copy of that will tell you everything.

first of all, thanks everyone for the comments.  I work remotely from home and so I am doing this from the Arctic Ocean in northern Alaska. so I had her send me "everything" they gave her at the embassy and low & behold, she just send me blank DS-3025 form that is checked at the bottom which says image.png.fdc2c657e2d98e0a12a4f366a818a77e.png

It would have been nice to have known that before I even posted this.  Now it looks like I will need to reschedule the 485 interview because I am sure I will not get into a doctors office in time.

Thanks again...all of you are awesome!
