Timeline

Had interview today and the officer said that I am approved and congrats :))). But he didnt give me any paper or anything.. is that normal?

No they won't. They'll just send you the scheduling notice for the Oath.

IO didn't give you the form N-652 that states that you've been recommended for approval? What do your myUSCIS and egov accounts say? One or the other should say that you've been approved to be officially approved.

No they didnt, and the myuscis doesnt say expet schedulied for interview. The IO made it clear that I am approved tho. So what would that indicate? That was at Philadelphia office, does it differ from office to other?

it's the same everywhere.

 

The form only says recommended for approval. There is a final internal review before they say that you are approved and it says so in your account. Usually it's reflected immediately in your myuscis account. From personal experience, I got approval (in myuscis acct) and under quality review (in egov acct) on same day as my interview. Confusing. anyway, frustrating that the IO forgot to give you a copy of the results of your naturalization interview.

 

Just wait for the approval to be reflected on your myUSCIS acct. Congrats!
