My wife has her AOS interview coming up this Wed Sept. 25 at the Milwaukee office.

We will update afterwards.

Definitely bring pocket change for the parking meters on the street.

We were there a week ago. The interview (and interviewer) was professional (no small talk.... and to the point ) and fair. We were approved on the spot after a 25 minute interview.  Also there's an app for your phone to pay for parking... the street on the east side of build has free street parking. -Best of luck!

We had our interview at the Milwaukee USCIS on September 25th and were approved on the 26th!

There will be a more detailed review written up by us in the field office reviews section, but just come prepared with plenty of supporting evidence (we had everything we needed divided in an organizer) and you will do fine.

To piggyback off what Billy and MJ were saying about parking, on Market St. just south of Knapp right over by a MSOE lot there is angled parking which has a 10 hour maximum and 5 hours cost something like $3.50 so scope that out as well. Use the MKE Park app in case for whatever reason you would need to add time.

Yes we brought along our immigration attorney.

But she was not allowed to answer any questions and really just sat there taking notes buuuuuut we were very glad she was there because she reminded us of some residency dates on the I-485 that needed correcting and we may have forgotten otherwise.

Plus I just think it cements the fact that you are in a genuine relationship when you go through the extra step of bringing along representation.

OK. Here is my story: We had our interview in Milwaukee! It was scheduled for 8:00 AM and 8:10 the IO opened the door, called my wife's name and when we both approached, he asked me to wait 15 - 20 minutes because he wanted to have the interview with her and the translator. The TV in the waiting room was on and I killed the time watching  infomercial of vacuum cleaner!  After 40 minutes, at 8:50 he called my name, he asked me some questions about our relationship (how and when we met, my wife relationship with my kids, etc). He was writing down every single word that I said comparing what I said with my wife's responses. Then he asked me to see some evidences that we live together, (he kept copies of a few water/electric bills, proof that my wife is the Beneficiary of my 401K, life insurance). I pulled some extras, but he said those wouldn't be needed because he has already in the file. Then he asked me to see some photos but he did not keep any photos either. When we submitted the 485, we added a bunch of photos. In 10 minutes my interview was done.

My wife was not approved on the spot. In the afternoon, the status online was "Case must be reviewed". However, this morning, I woke up with an email from USCIS saying "New card is being produced".

BTW we did not have any attorney throughout our immigration process.  Literally, it was a DYI process.

For those who read this post and are still waiting for your interview, good luck!

Thanks for sharing! My Wife’s status just changed to “Interview Ready to be Scheduled”. I assume the time span from ready to be scheduled to actually scheduled varies on the field office. Since you guys did the interview in MKE, would you happen to know how long that wait was? We have a vacation coming up, so was hoping they don’t coincide 😬😬. Thanks again for the helpful

info!

Looking back my timeline, they  the status to "Interview was scheduled" on Aug 26. It took approximately 35 days until the interview day.

From the interview day until she gets her card by mail, 8 days.

How long from when you applied for AOS to approval? I’m guessing we’ll be assigned to Milwaukee as I live near Appleton and I’m just trying to have an idea. Thanks :)

My wife's timeline:
From 03/04/19 to 10/10/19  (Entire process with card in hands)

if you live in Appleton, Yes MKE is the best option.

Guys! We just got our notification saying that our “interview is ready to be scheduled”. I recently lived in Milwaukee, but now in Austin. Will my interview be scheduled in Milwaukee or somewhere in Texas?
