Sent an email to the IV unit requesting a consulate general review.   In my mail I explained where I thought the interview went wrong and requested a second interview

I am assuming it all worked out for you and you had a favorable outcome afterwards? Exactly how did you do this please? it will help others in similar situation, as a point of reference. In Manila the only way to contact USEM is through the call center or via email to IVmanilareplies@state.gov but all one would expect to get as a reply is a template answer. Could you please explain how to exactly ask for a consulate general review, what email address to send to, what to say, is it as simple as "this and this happened during my interview, etc ..etc.. therefore humbly requesting for a second interview" ?? sorry I have a lot of questions..

There is no template to follow, and my facts are not your facts.

I simply debriefed with my now wife and had her take me through the entire interview to the best of her recollection.  We were not given a reason for the denial but after the debriefing and since there were no technical ineligiblilities, it had to be lack of a bonafide relationship.  Nothing else made sense.

When I crafted my email,  I tried very hard to keep any emotion out of my explanation and stuck to just the facts as I understood them.

After pleading the facts, I simply request an immediate review and offered to be present for a second interview.

I thought I had a better chance of winning the Powerball.  After a couple weeks we got an email telling her to come in for a second interview

YMMV

Thank you for sharing, this detail should be enough to guide any concerned parties. I understand that every situation is different but at least this is somewhere to start.

I did not nor was it requested.   By the time we were notified of a second chance,  I had already booked the wedding trip and it was going to be tight to get that done in the days I would be in country.   We simply couldn't follow a dual path.  I told my wife if she wanted to go after the k1, she needed to do it.   She  agreed and did it

YMMV
