Requirements for South Korean Birth Certificate

Hello,

I'm up to the part where my wife and I have to send NVC documents such as birth certificates, marriage certificate and so on. We have submitted all that but NVC keeps denying my wife's birth certificate that includes her basic certificate ( 기본증명서 ) and her family's relation certificate ( 가족관계증명서 ). I thought that was all we need. I resubmitted everything the second time and I just got a response just a few hours ago, "South KOREA requires more than one birth document. Please delete any South KOREA birth certificates and submit all of required documents together at the same time". I try to use their document finder but I really don't understand what they are asking. Do these documents have to be translated into English? If i do need to do that, where can I find those forms? I don't think  Can someone please clarify for me what exactly I need to do and need to get this approved? I don't want to submit a third time and wait a month just to get denied again.

Thank you,

Reggie

Those two certificates (Basic Certificate and Family Relation Certificate) shall be sent with translated copy.

FYI, South Korea consulate in Seattle provides translation template.
**refer to the template page : http://overseas.mofa.go.kr/us-seattle-ko/brd/m_4730/view.do?seq=1214484&srchFr=&srchTo=&srchWord=&srchTp=&multi_itm_seq=0&itm_seq_1=0&itm_seq_2=0&company_cd=&company_nm=&page=1

In my case, I requested the certificates through South Korea consulate in my state, and when I received those, I had them translated using the PC in the consulate and had the translated copy notarized by the person in the consulate.

Hope this helps.
