CR1 - case/doc review time

Hi all,

we submitted out docs and half are submitted AND accepted. They asked for additional documents under civil docs and affid of support. Under civil docs, the date submitted is Aug 13, and for affidavit of support it is Sept 5. The current case review is on Aug 2. I want to know once they reach Aug 13, will they review the ones submitted at a later date as well or do we have to wait until they reach Sept 5th?

thanks!

Most likely Sep 5th, but I wouldn't count too much on the review timeline from their website. It's true that it says they're currently working on files received on Aug 2nd, but I know couples who got their DQ/CC and they submitted their paperwork on 8/22!

Dear Karim,

thanks so much for your reply.

so they submitted additional documents on Aug 22 and already got a complete case? After that they give interview date?

i called them at nvc, they say they go by what’s on the site but since i had both dates I figured when they review the ones from aug 2nd, they will review rest too.

This couple got no RFE, they've uploaded their I-864 and DS260 + civil docs on 8/22, and they got a CC a couple of day ago. Another couple filed on 8/10 an they too got a DQ this week. NVC/USCIS operators have a script and they usually refer you to the website. It's really hit/miss with these guys. Sometimes they're tracking nicely to what's on the website, but more often than not, they deviate from it! Some get early approvals while others have to wait longer to hear back from NVC. And yes, after the DQ/CC, NVC sends your paperwork to the consulate who then tells them when can accommodate you for an interview and NVC notifies you accordingly. That process' timeline also varies depending on the consulate and how busy they are. Good Luck!

BTW, you can follow news of NVC Sep filers here:
