Visiting with a B1/B2 Visa while waiting for K1 Visa

My gf has a B1/B2 Visa and I am getting ready to apply for a K1 Visa. What happens if she is visiting here and her K1 Visa gets approved does she have to go back to her home country and then re-enter under the K1?

Her K-1 would only be approved after the interview, and only issued while in possession of her passport (the visa is affixed to the passport).

 

I'm assuming you meant when the I-129F petition is approved. Yes, she will need to return home to complete the K-1 visa process.

Yes, after the I-129F petition is approved she may return to Venezuela to continue with the process to get the  k1 Visa, and remember once she  get the K1 visa she will  be allowed to  entrance to your country just once and  will have only 90 days to get married. After the marriage she may apply for adjustment of status and may have to stay there for approx 5 to 12 months until it is processed before being able to travel back to venezuela.

Hence why it's highly suggested to apply for Advance Parole (AP) - and an EAD while you're at it - alongside AOS. The wait for that is "only" about 4-7 months.

Petition approval and visa approval are two entirely different things.  K-1 visa interviews are only held outside of the United States, at consulates.

It makes me really sad that I didn't realize that it is possible to be with my fiancé while we wait for the approval of our I-129F. Good luck OP!
