Hi everyone,

I received I-797 C for K1 visa on August 18, 2019 but until now I did not receive the biometrics letter yet from USCIS.  Am I supposed to get a biometrics letter as part of the k1 processing step?  I read on visajourney forum that a biometrics letter is part of the k1 visa process.  How long after receiving I-797 C should I get the biometrics letter from USCIS?  Should I call USCIS and request them to send me the letter so I can get the biometrics step done?  Any help is appreciated.  Thanks.

On very rare occasions does the USCIS  require biometrics for the petitioner.   If you never receive an appointment,  its a good thing

Hi,

Thanks for the quick replies.  It's a relief to hear that.  I just thought my mails got lost or something like that.  It happened before in my neighborhood.  Is there a way to check online if biometrics appointment is required but I never received it because the mail was lost?

I have 2 other questions:

1/ How do I create USCIS account using my receipt number?

2/ I read a thread on visajourney forum in regards to the month the k1 applications is being processed at the moment.  It said June 15 applications are being processed at the moment.  How reliable is this information?  What is the current wait time in 2019 to receive NOA2?  Thanks.
