S.Korea SOFA Stamp for Permanent Resident

Any one have experience being stationed in Korea (accompanied) with a permanent resident spouse? Does it all go the same as having a US Passport (not counting the Official Passport) or does the process change if the spouse has a foreign passport? Thank you.

I don’t personal experience, but I do know a few people that have Korean spouses and were stationed in Korea while I was stationed there as well. I believe that as long as the Korean spouse has a valid passport with the proper visa stamp to enter and re enter American and a dependent military ID, they’ll be fine. They wouldn’t need a visa stamp for Korea due to being a citizen, unlike American dependents that are in Korea.

My wife is a green card holder currently using her foreign passport here in Japan. All customs did was SOFA stamp her foreign passport
