HELP! K1 Visa Process - Looking for Tips/personal experiences with booking the interview

My Fiancé and I are currently going through the K1 Visa process and are looking to hopefully hear experiences from others who have/are in the same process. He is an American from Florida and I am Canadian looking to relocate to Florida with him.  I have been staying with him in Florida since May and since by law I can only be here for 6 months I will be running out of time and will have to head back to Canada soon which of course is not ideal as we do not want to have to be apart for long.

We filed our I-129F on February 13th 2019.

We received our approved Notice of Action May 12 2019 valid through Sept 12 2019

We completed our DS-160 and submitted it on July 16th 2019, and based on the instructions were under the impression that we have to wait for Packet 4 (approx 6 weeks) to come in the mail to book our interview.

To this date, we still have not received packet 4 (its beed about 9 weeks). We started calling around last week as we were a bit concerned. I was able to connect with a 438-793-1947 number (they advised they are the booking section for the us consulate) and they asked me why I haven't booked my interview yet.  I advised that I didn't receive packet 4 yet and he said that is no problem I can still book now.

After this call I made an account on ais.usvisa-info.com and followed the steps to book our interview.  We filled out the "Applicant Information" and "Courier" sections, and have been hung up on the "Payment" section.

Since last week the payment section will not let us move forward as it says "No appointments available" and "Check back in a few days" for the Montreal Consulate.

Our question here is, has anyone else experienced this and how long does it take for them to add new appointments? Also, when new appointments are added, how far out are they generally booking?

We are also wondering, on the Notice of Action I-797 form, it had a valid through date of Sept 12 2019.  We called many numbers to have this extended but everywhere kept redirecting us and no one knew what we were talking about or how to help.  Is this no longer an issue because we have completed the DS-160 step and are waiting to book our interview?

We appreciate all and any advice, suggestions, help, and insight from others experiences!!!!

Best for you to head over to the Canadian sub- forum. There are a couple others waiting for appointment slots to open up.

Every embassy works different on how to handle extensions. Germany is really strict and asks for a letter from the petitioner to extend. Others do it on their own as long as they can see a movement in the case. Check your embassy/ consulate homepage or also ask in the Canadian sub- forum.

For my wife and I, we didn't actually receive a "package 4" in the mail, but an email confirmation about our K-1 interview that was scheduled.  If need be, try and call your embassy and explain what is going on.  It sounds funny, especially if "no available appointments" keeps popping up.

Montreal doesnt schedule interviews for you. You do that on your own. And like I said, there are a couple people waiting right now.

interview appointment dates released earlier after 3pm. not sure if there are still available dates to be booked. hopefully, you can still grab one.

after receiving packet 4 last sept 6 and creating an account in ais.us-visa.info.com, we were stuck at that payment page as well, until today. i hated the captcha page - trees, traffic lights, pedestrian lanes, etc., etc. but done with it now. ;)

some of us here have their noa2 expired before they get an interview date. they stated that they didn't have to do anything to extend it since the consulate officers are the ones to extend it. ours will expire nov 12 and we got an interview date on nov 6. we have 6 days to spare.

good luck to you!
