Chinese woman pleads guilty in 'birth tourism' case

 

Dongyuan Li admitted her company assisted wealthy Chinese nationals in getting to the US to give birth. 

Ms Li would give clients training on how to bypass US immigration control and hide their pregnancies.

She amassed more than $3m (£2.4m) in wire transfers. 

Ms Li of California faces up to 15 years in jail when she is sentenced in December.

Agreed, just another form of immigration fraud.  What I wonder is what happens to the children born here through the immigration fraud of this woman and their parents.

They are US Citizens.

I suppose.  Hopefully there is some consequences for the parents if the child ever decides to petition for them in the future.

Possible Misrep but under current law I can think of ways around it, if it was deemed to be, difficult to tell from the story, they just went after her.

Agreed, I am glad they did go after her as she was certainly the big fish here.
