Great, that’s what we all hoped for and I guess the experience of the respective USCIS official plays a major role during the interview.Congrats!

Same concern here. I am confused. Do I need to provide new medical report? I only submitted the vaccination record DS-3025 during AOS application. My interview is on Feb. 19, 2020. I did my medical last year for K1 Visa Feb.15, 2019. It will be expired by the time of my interview. Is there gonna be a problem?

Having read few experiences of past interviews and when their medicals was done, I want to believe if you have the copy of your last medicals, just take it along with you and you should be fine.I have the copies of mine showing all the vaccinations I was given including a small booklet with same info and a CD. I will be taking all these along with me too. Good luck!

I want to believe 100 days wait after biometric is the new normal. And if you still don’t hear from them afterwards, I will strongly suggest you contact them to submit a “request for expedite” choosing one  of the 3 reasons (in your situation) required by USCIS on the website.

This is the only means to let the officer in charge of your case take a second look at it regardless of the outcome of your request.

As a result of that, your EAD/AP status should be updated in no time. If not , you could get a date for your AOS interview, that is if you submitted it together with EAD/AP. And then you will most likely receive your EAD/AP before the interview date.

Goodluck!

I submit my AOS package on June and had my biometric done on July 24 before I then submit the EAD/AP package on Aug 28. We didn't think we need EAD/AP back then. Oh well..

Anyway, got RFE on Aug 29 for birth certificate but from the tracking info, my EAD card should arrive today. Thats 5 month processing time for EAD

Hi everyone,

I'm pleased to inform you all that hubby has gotten his greencard. We went for the interview a week ago and...viola...the card has landed in our mailbox.

The interview was pretty fast. The officer just read out some questions in the i485 form for my hubby to respond to. He also asked some questions pertaining to dates.

After the interview, the egov casetracker changed multiple times. I will list all the status we saw on the casetracker after we had the interview:

1. New Card Is Being Produced

2. Case Was Approved

3. Card Was Mailed To Me

4. Card Was Picked Up By The United States Postal Service

5. Card Was Delivered To Be By The Post Office.

So in summary, it took us 8 months after filing for greencard to get it. And it took us 5 months to get the work permit and travel authorization.

I actually thought it will take more than one year for our case to be adjudicated by the USCIS Dallas Field Office. I'm glad it took less than that.

So for all Texas Filers, be hopeful. You'll get your interview soon enough.

Cheers.

Hi all,

New here.

Filed on September 11, 2019 - marriage based AOS - marrying a US Citizen - I am a Canadian citizen (born and rasied)

Filed AOS I-485, I-130, 1-765 and I-131 concurrently

Filed: September 11 2019

RFE: December 12 2019 (our lawyer forgot to include my husbands salary)

Evidence submitted: December 22 2019

Biometrics Appt for I-485: January 30 2020

Case Updated ON USCIS website to 'Ready to be scheduled for interview: February 6 2020

Second notice for biometrics for I-765 appointment: February 20 2020 (don't know why I received a second appointment, I called USCIS and they said I didn't have to go but my lawyer advised me to go so I did)

As of today, no movement on the EAD or AP. It has been 163 days. I am conflicted on whether or not to expedite it since it seems like I should be getting it soon according to the processing times listed online but my timeline has been wonky from day one. I didn't even receive a biometrics appointment until over 4 months after filing?

What do you all think? Should I expedite.

Side note: I-485 is at Nation Benefits Center, I'm assuming the others would be at a Texas Field Office since I am filing in Houston. I still don't get this part of the process.

Any insight would be helpful.

Two Fingerprint appointments is strange. My question is what date do you officially have on USCIS website / app  has your fingerprint completion date? Here is something I have experienced and lots of people did too :  expedite request submitted at least 100 days after  fingerprint-completed date has higher chance of a positive outcome. That is if they don't approve your EAD/AP before that 100 days on their own. So you might want to get that official fingerprint-completed date right and start counting down.

NBC seem to be in charge of all  family-based immigration applications including the EAD/AP that comes with them. Hence, apart from the fingerprint you did in Houston (ASC), the next time you should be asked to go to USCIS office in Houston  will be for your AOS interview.

Goodluck!

129 days since fingerprints  applied  and 159 days since applied for EAD and I have heard nothing either. We are both within normal processing  time as USCIS will say if you inquire. Why expedite? Did you not know about the K1 and working before you chose the K1? I realize  each person's case and needs are different but well let's  leave it there.

@Sarge2155 what was the outcome of your expedite request  ? (if you have submitted one yet)

I did  not submit one, nor do I plan too as it would not necessarily be true. I knew the disadvantages to the K1 before I submitted it, so no need to jump the line now even if its taking  a longer time than normal.

by the same token, I would have thought your EAD/Ap card would have been sent to you already. I dont understand the delay when many of us had it relatively quickly...I feel bad you are having to go through this all over again, thought at least it is more bearable since you are together
