K2 enroll for school

Please my people I need helo concerning my child , both of us came to US on K1 and K2 two weeks ago. What is criteria to enroll her in school? How long will dhr stay at home before she can start? Is it till we get green card ? We planing to start our AOS next week.

It all varies by state and school district. But the requirements to enroll are usually: 

 

Vaccination record

Birth certificate 

Proof of residency to show you live in the school district

 

 

Usually you only have to wait 1-2 days at most once you enroll to start

You don't have to wait... or at least we didn't. We went down to the school office with our K1 and K2 documents and passports and filled in the needed paper work and my son started straight away. I also have a friend who moved here with her children on a k1 / k2 and started school the same week both of us are in different states. 

 

But honestly go speak to the local school office they will be able to help.
