5 to 24.5 months. "The first number is the time it takes to complete 50% of cases (the median). The second number is the time it takes to complete 93% of cases."

Do you have a US passport while you wait?

I don't have the passport. ive tried applying for one, but they weren't able to give me one and told me to get my certificate first before applying

hopefully it wouldn't take that long to get my certificate

Which Passport Acceptance Facility did you go to? Did you try more than one location?

I just applied for my n-600 today, submitted everything online. I already have a passport as I became a citizen at 17 when my parents became naturalized citizens. Applying for my n-600 as i sponsored my husband for AOS and now we're waiting on his i-751 and I don't want to have any issues when he goes to apply for his n-400. Better safe than sorry..

n-400 Timeline (husband) filed under 3 year marriage rule

(day 1) Submitted application & payment online (online ETA October 2021) 10/23/2020

(day 5) Text update that NOA was mailed 10/28/2020

(day 113) Biometric reuse letter mailed 2/12/2021

(day 279) Text saying there is an update to our cases, interview scheduled for August 26, 2021 7/29/2021

(day 322) Oath ceremony will be scheduled 9/10/2021

(day 327) Oath ceremony scheduled for Oct 1st 9/14/2021

(day 343) Oath ceremony complete & certificate received! Applied for US passport same day. 10/1/2021

HAve you had your bio appointment yet? I completed mine on 10/23 and received an update the same day stating they're actively reviewing my form n-600 and that there is nothing outstanding at this time.

I read that some people get scheduled for the oath ceremony, others get their certificates just mailed to them without the oath. I hope I get the latter!

Hi,

Have you received any updates on your N-600 case? I sent my son's in November and received confirmation that they received it on November 19. Did you have to go to the biometrics/fingerprint scan as a Minor?

Thanks.

Curious as to what was missing that they wouldn’t give you a passport, and why you wouldn’t need that for the n600 application?

From our experience, there is no update after biometrics until the N600 is approved and ready for collection (or, I guess, if you get an RFE). I was supposed to fetch my daughter’s certificate but that appointment got cancelled due to the lockdown, and other than a “wait for rescheduling” letter I haven’t heard anything since. So.. unless you get an RFE I don’t think you’ll hear anything till in-person operations resume at your local USCIS.

Wrong info. You probably looked at a wrong office or smth. It’s 8-15 months
