How to get an Original Divorce Decree

Hey guys, just a bit confused on how to obtain an original divorce decree (for my husband) for the interview. I'm mostly confused as to whether what we already have is an original or a certified copy. We went to the courthouse where his divorce was finalized, asked for them to provide us with a divorce decree, and they printed one up for us in about 2 minutes. It has the raised seal on it, so is that what they are going to ask me for in the interview? If not, how do we get an original? (The one we acquired already was sent off to NVC yesterday with the DS-230.)

The original is filed at the court house. The court house clerks can make a copy for you. If you request them to certifiy this document, they will stamp it for you- and now you will have a certified copy of the original.

Remember - there is only one original legal document with the original signatures and filed at the local court house building.

Certified copy is all I had.. and it was accepted no worries

Just wanted to add, my certified copy had the raised seal on it. Apparently that's what they wanted. Worked for us.
