Hello all,

I tried doing a search for how to expedite the EAD based on hardship, but couldn't find anything.  How do I go about doing that?  What is the process.  Thanks in advance.

That is kind of a chicken and egg thing.  This of course is anecdotal, but most of the EAD expedites I have seen recently were from those that already had job offers.  I would think that would strengthen your case.

Yes.

That’s a valid reason (assuming it is substantiated). Just know it’s also a 2 way street - if it’s such a hardship then is your I-864 sponsor sufficient?

Im not expecting an answer - just raising the obvious question.

I am kind of wondering what they would qualify as hardship. I am thinking of requesting an expedite also, but due to something that just came up. I suppose it depends on what the doctor says, but I think I've managed to tear something in my leg and may require surgery+physical therapy which would necessitate very high medical costs even with insurance and the possibility of having to take time off of work for rehab and FMLA

RoC sent 10/30/21

NOA 11/16/21

Check Cashed 11/18/21

Biometrics Waived 01/19/2022
