Medical questionnaire

I've already posted this elsewhere but I was told to post it here too.

I'm starting to stress myself out about the medical questionnaire.

Question five asks if you have ever taken drugs. If the applicant has but a long time ago and not for a sustained period of time, would the answer to this would have to be yes, right?

Now I've read a few posts that say if you answer yes to this question you have to do a drug test and you may get banned for a year.

Does anyone know what the procedures are? Would the drug test would be taken on the same day or would it be at a later date? And what are the chances of the whole case being thrown out?

Cheers.

would the answer really matter.

Yes, the answer would really matter.

The applicant is required to be honest when asked on the application about past drug use.

The applicant is also required to be honest if/when asked during the medical about past drug use by the doctor.

Being honest MAY result in a temporary ban until a new medical clears the applicant.  It sometimes does not result in a ban.

Not being honest WILL result in a permanent ban on any type of visa for misrepresentation, after it comes out, and can further result in any benefits received after that misrepresentation being later revoked (like a green card).

At Knightsbridge clinic in London you will take in the questionnaire, fill out another similar one they give you, and during the exam, the doctor will ask you about drug use in the past.

If you say yes, even if only one time fifteen years ago, they will do a test for drugs same day. (Testing for drugs is not part of the normal exam, but they can add it on for the urinalysis to include drugs.

If clean, then no further issues for lots and lots of people having medicals in London.

I didn't tell you to post here too. I suggested to ask all the London questions here in the first instance instead of the general K1 thread.  The moderators won't like a second post.

Each consulate is different so once your case is in London, the U.K. Forum will be the place to hang out and ask questions.
