This is the best deal I've found and it has saved me a ton of money. You need to have either DSL or Cable Internet. Its Voice over IP (VOIP). I did a bit of research and this was the best one I found. www.broadvoice.com . I pay 24.95 a month for Unlimited talk time to Brazil. The quality is better then the calling cards I used to use. You get a monthly phone bill which is also great so you can show proof of relationship. I checked out Vonage and thought they were expensive. This the only company I found that offered an Unlimited talk time plan. You can call pretty much any country in the world without having to pay extra the only thing is that when you call a cell phone you have to pay extra. Hope this helps.

Have you tried skype. It is over the internet. If both of you have a skype account it is free. I am not sure of the price if only one of you has an account. My friend called me from Brazil with her skype account and it was .02 a minute.

I call my sweetie in England (from the USA) for 6 cents/minute with the Cingular Wireless World Connect package. A call for an hour and a half is around $5.00. Gives me the benefit of being able to call her while I'm driving to work (cursed time difference! lol)

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

I go to http://www.viapin.com for my pre-paid phone cards/PIN numbers. I can call China Cellular for .025 cents per minute, that's 2 1/2 cents a minute, less than 3 cents per minute, not bad. Also, I needed a calling history, they provided one to me that began August 2005, emailed it to me within a day of the request. The card that I use is MEGA CLEAN & STABLE, 1 minute rounding, no additional fees. This is the only card that I have found that keeps "TRUE" minutes and doesn't rip me off!

Please, if you do use them could you please tell them that I referred you, my username is keithecap@yahoo.com I have used about $400 worth of cards so far, if you tell them that I referred you I get a $5.00 phone card, not much but it helps.

To call Colombia the cost is .108 cents per minute, just under .11 cents per minute.

Hi!

My fiance uses telehispanic service, the url is www.telehispanic.com.. this service provides a flat rate fee to talk unlimited between the US and several latin american countries... you are billed online (awesome since u can file this as a proof of your relationship) and my fiance uses a local number to contact me and I use a local number to contact him... Unfortunately, we've been experiencing some kinda trouble for the last few weeks but I think it's only our bad luck since this service was highly recommended by our friends!!

Hope this info will help you...

I use Telecom and it is very inexpensive--but you have to be calling to and from a land line--not a cell phone. Just dial 1010987 before you dial the phone number. I have about 8 hours of calls a month to the UK and my bill is a little over $20. It takes a couple months before you will see a bill. Mine is added to my regular phone bill.
