I think I've got everything, but I'll be prepared to pay extra as required. Don't have an updated scan handy but I have the attached, plus Hepatitis A and B and boosters for Polio, Tetanus and Diphtheria

Vaccinations.png.4f827e6bc19569b701ac94026ff96edd.png

Adults only need 4 immunisations for immigration. Hep A,B, and polio aren't on the list.

  1. MUmps/Measles/Rubella
  2. Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis (a booster if previous was not within 10 years)
  3. Varicella
  4. Flu (only during flu season)

Your status:

  1. MMR is done
  2. Need a Td booster because your 10 years runs out on Saturday and before your medical.
  3. Varicella will be waived for having chickenpox. And for spouse visas who can't get cleared later in the US, it will be waived for "not routinely available". (Code D)
  4. Need a flu shot because flu season starts Oct 1, the day before your medical. For anybody having a medical before Oct 1, you get the waiver "Not Flu season" (Code F)

Forgot about the flu shot. I'll see if the GP has it before the 2nd but if not I'll just have to get it there. The upload I provided was an old one as I was at work at the time. I've done a phone scan of the latest (attached) but it's not the best quality.

I've had both chickenpox and shingles after being exposed to my sister's children who had chickenpox at the time.

Your GP will do your TD booster - not likely they’ll give you a flu shot though, unless you’re in an at-risk group (diabetic, elderly, etc), as I don’t think an NHS doctor’s surgery have the option to charge for it - and you’re not eligible for a free one unless in the ‘at risk’ category.

However, pretty much all pharmacies do it (think it costs about £14, so likely cheaper than Knightsbridge - you can check prices on Knightsbridge’s site) and they will document it for you too, so you can be signed off at the Knightsbridge exam. Of course, you’ll be able to get it done at Knightsbridge too, but likely more expensive.

Think I'm good with the TD. I'll try my luck with the flu shot, the Scottish NHS is a tad different so it might be different enough. I was able to get the Hepatitis A and B no problem despite them having to special order and me having to pick it up from a local pharmacy. Unfortunately none of my local pharmacies -- even the chain ones -- offer vaccination services the closest is 110 Miles/177 Kilometers or so away.

From checking the Knightsbridge/Visa Medicals site they seem to charge it at £14 assuming all that is up-to-date. Which would be nice as if the GP can't do it I'll just get it done there. Even if it costs more though it's probably easier getting it done there than travelling just for that.

You do not require Hep A or B. These are shots only for your own personal well-being and nothing more.

Ah, if it’s £14 at Knightsbridge, I’d just get it there - that’s actually a fairly decent price for it 👍🏻.

Thanks, yeah I realised that after I got them before looking into it better. Still can't hurt to be vaccinated I suppose.

Yes, you got Td in August. Flu shots are given only to the elderly and kids so I don't think you'd have much luck with free on NHS. It's an American requirement for everybody immigrating aged over 6 months.
