I’m glad you were able to speak with someone. Just make sure you guys have everything ready ($ for medical as well) and once you get the packet 3 letter call the doctor immediately for an appointment- it takes about 3 days to get the results and then you can submit that along with your other documents to DHL.

Yea money is not the issue what worrying me is even if I get the p3letter and set medical appointment I have to figure out how am I going to get her from cap haitian to port au prince safely. Hope things get resolve soon....

Ah yes that is an issue. I’ve flown Tortug’ Air PAP to Cap Haitian before- that would probably be the safest to avoid roadblocks and the (what I would imagine) miserably long drive. Idk if they are even in service anymore but the flight is only about 45 minutes. Sure beats 10+ hrs in a tap tap or bus lol

How interesting after talking to the manager at the embassy in the us they sent me the p3 letter today. Things are starting to move along now

How did you speak to a manager? I tried calling several times on a Friday and wasn’t able to get through. Looks like our timelines are similar. I will try calling again Monday...maybe this means that we will also get the letter soon!

Awesome! Have you completed the ds160 and paid the fee? If so call the doctor on Monday to get an appointment!

@johnnyj was your fiance able to get a medical appointment? also when I called last week I was told that there was no reason to talk to a manager because they have already received my request for packet 3 several times and that they would send another note. I did finally receive packet 3 today via email (it was dated 11/29/19). it was interesting because it says NOTHING about the medical, other than needing 4 photos for the medical exam. I'm hoping that getting a medical exam is not too difficult. my fiance is going to call tomorrow!

@Luckycuds in a previous post you mentioned something about needing to do the medical BEFORE the documents are dropped off to DHL--there is nothing in the instructions that says that.  Also the letter only mentions 3 DHL locations, but the ustraveldocs site has several others listed. Is it okay to use the other DHL locations for drop off? also, congrats to your cousin who finally got approved!

Hi I noticed that the list and what was on the ustraveldoc site were different. We had her drop off the documents at one of the DHL locations in the letter (I think it was Delmas?) but passport was delivered to petitionville- which is an address that’s listed on the ustraveldocs site. I would drop off at one of the locations in the letter. The medical has to be sent with the documents so you need to do the medical prior. Approx 3 days after the medical you will pick up your report in a sealed envelope and that has to be submitted with the documents to DHL

okay, were you able to print the confirmation page for the ustraveldocs profile? I created the profile a while ago and I don't remember it having a confirmation page. I copied/pasted the info into a word document that shows we have an account...good news about being able to get the birth certificate!  my fiance also recently got a new birth certificate--it didn't take that long.
