What supporting documents does the petitioner need to submit with their i864 affidavit of support if they are using a qualified joint sponsor? I have all the required supporting documents for our joint sponsor but i was self employed while living overseas and don't have qualifying evidence of income only my tax transcripts.

If you were self employed overseas as a USC, you were still required to file taxes. If you did not file taxes, you need to write a letter explaining the situation.

I filed taxes and have my tax transcripts for the past 3 years. I don't however have any qualifying "evidence of income" is that a requirement? My joint sponsor has all the required supporting documents fwiw.

My guess is, if it is past income and you won't be using income to sponsor but will be relying solely on the joint sponsor, that you don't need to show any evidence of income since there isn't any current income. Whosever income will be sponsoring the immigrant is what they want to see evidence for, i.e. current income/assets. It still might be a good idea to write a letter explaining your current lack of income, and provider a bulleted list of what supporting docs your joint sponsor is including, sort of like a cover letter.
