Edawn Louis Coughman, 31, was arrested Thursday on charges of filing a false report of a crime, insurance fraud, and concealing a license plate after he told police a burglar was responsible for spray painting racist language and imagery on the walls of his bakery, according to Gwinett County Police.

   Man, these bakers end up in the news way too often now. Back in the day, you went to the bakers shop to get pastries or cake. Or if you really wanted to be pretentious, you just went there to buy bread.

 

   Nowadays, you go to the baker and learn about fraud, racism, homophobia and religious discrimination.

I had a donut today from the baker. While it was possible to get things other than donuts there, definitely no fraud, racism, homophobia or religious discrimination. They do sell egg, cheese and bacon sandwiches on donuts though which sound absolutely disgusting!

Egg and cheese was an option too. Vegans didn't have a breakfast sandwich option but there were at least two vegan donut options. And who goes to a donut shop for breakfast sandwiches?

Then one day I happened to look at the calorie content of just one and stopped cold turkey, that was 16 years ago.

   I agree. Even junk food should have some kind of redeeming quality. When it comes to donuts, I feel like flour fried in vegetable oil then covered with sugar doesn’t really cut it. I go for ice cream or chocolate if I really want something from the dessert menu. At least you get something out of those.
