iv bill generated.....

I've called NVC a few times since last week and always get the same message. The IV bill has been generated and will be mailed soon. Is there something else they are waiting on before the bill is sent? Normally is the I864 packet generated before the IV bill??? I'm confused.

if they've generated the IV bill it's because they've recieved the choice of agent. once they recieve the AOS bill, then they will send the I864

Thanks for the response. I overnighted the AOS fee soon after sending the choice of agent. I read somewhere that the only way to know if the I864 packet has been sent is to talk to an operator. Is this true?

Yes, somehow the generating of the I-864 package doesn't show up on the automated phone thingie, so you have to talk to an operator.

Also: it can take 10 days for the AoS fee to be processed, but the DS-3032 is processed much faster ... resulting in an IV bill prior to the I-864

NVC has two independent tracks which merge at the end.

1) DS 3032 ----> IV Fee Bill ----> DS 230

2) AOS Fee Bill ----> I-864

So when NVC processes your DS 3032, it generates IV Fee Bill and likewise when NVC processes AOS Fee Bill, it generates I-864 afterwards. So it is hard to say whether your I-864 or IV Fee Bill is generated first. Usually, the 1st track takes longer than the 2nd one, as the first one has 3 steps compares with 2nd one's 2.
