It is cruel that anyone should have to wait 15 months for an interview, especially when some people in some parts of the country get interviews within a few months. If the system was more efficient, there would be a national standard in place (actually, I think the goal is 6 months) that is actually tracked and enforced to some degree. As things currently standard, there is zero national standardization and each person is at the mercy or blessing of their local office. Yes, some cities/offices received more applications than others but that could be easily addressed by ensuring those offices receive more staffing resources. There really is zero excuse for the extreme differences in processing times.

Didn't even get scheduled yet.

I’m sorry to hear that, I wish the IO who interviewed me has answers for combo filers but she wasn’t aware about it. I didn’t push further asking about it.

I read that you can call our US Senator and ask for help.

I wish I’m knowledgeable about your situation but I am not a combo filer. I was granted 10 years unconditional Greencard because we were married for more than 2 years when I was interviewed.

It’s shocking. Especially when you take into consideration that we all pay the same fees. So what is the Seattle office doing? Why aren’t they hiring more people. The process is self-funded. The more people who file, the more money there is for additional salaries.

I’m also a Seattle filer. Filed September 2019. Estimated completion date is after the presidential election.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

Now a US citizen!

It's been over 18 months now since N400 filling. Still waiting. And I filled for I751 in May 2017 which is 2 years and 7 months ago. It's been transferred to NBC in November 2018. Apparently they take up to 37 months to process Removal of Conditions cases. I guess I still have to wait another 5-6 months.
