Hello,

My stepdaughter's I-130 was finally received by NVC a week ago. According to the rep I spoke to yesterday, case are taking around 4 weeks to set up. Unfortunately, I'll be out of the country during that time for about 3 weeks and I want to submit everything ASAP since our petition spent nearly 4 months travelling between USCIS and NVC.

Is there a list of exactly what documents are needed to be uploaded at the NVC stage? I want to have everything filled out, scanned and saved in PDF format on my Google Drive so that I can upload documents while I'm away and not wait. Also if we need anything from my stepdaughter's home country we can get that done before I leave as well.

Thanks!

Thanks that's perfect! And I assume when they say "send copies to NVC" that simply means upload a pdf online, right ? Is there anything that needs to be snail mailed to NVC?

How your documents are sent to NVC friends on your Consulate.. most document packages are uploaded directly to the CEAC account, some are emailed, very few are snail mailed .. it’s never a mix of methods .. your NVC welcome letter will tell you ...

Step 6 of that link goes through the 3 methods .. you maybe able to work out which method your consulate uses

Thanks - super helpful. Looks like it's email for me (unless I misread). One final question - when you mean "welcome letter", is that an email or a letter mailed to the petitioner's residence? If this is a letter then I will possibly need someone to be checking my mail or may need to forwarded it to a family member's house.... thanks and sorry for the constant question, but I always like to have my ducks 110% in a row with these things since any small error can result in months of delay.
