K1 visa under consideration

Hello. Need help please. Our K1 visa has been put under consideration and it will need a week for it until a decision can be reached, this is in USEm in Singapore. Now am thinking of going back to Manila while waiting for the result as i already booked my ticket and my work has already ended. 

Can i go home and just wait, then if God willing out visa will be approved, i will just send my passport to my friend in Singapore and then ask her to courier it to USEm? Will they require me to be physically present in Sg for the visa release if ever?

Not sure about Singapore, but for the Philippines, if the visa applicant isn't there to receive the package they must provide a letter stating this "other person" is authorized to receive the visa package .. and that person must have YOUR picture ID along with their own.

 

Not sure I would want to be "stranded" with my passport in another country .. and no way to get there.    < this is a disaster waiting to happen.

 

If you can legally stay in Singapore .. that is what I would do .. wait.    (bad move purchasing airfare before receiving your visa)

 

Are you planning to return to the Philippines after receiving your visa?    If yes .. don't forget you will need to complete the CFO-GCP seminar to get the sticker.

Hi, thank you Hank for your time and effort responding. We decided that i will wait here in Singapore until we finally received our visa decision (fingers crossed). I totally agree with you, risks are too high and i might lost my passport along the way. Yup, be returning to Manila before depature to US, God willing. I do appreciate your info about CFO GPC seminar. I need to a research about that.

Did they give you 221.g? What is it said in the note? If the letter say you can put in the drop box then you don't need to be there physically. But if they need you second interview then you have to be there.

I wont be needing a second interview. All documents are already submitted. They just nees about a week for a decision in our application. Anyway, i will be staying here to wait on the result, just about a week, so wont be that long. Thank you for time and effort. God bless!
