Hey guys!

My fiance and I are at the Consular stage of our K1 visa. We have our interview appointment for October 2nd. We have already sent in what was required for Packet 3 and now I am starting to worry about the I-134 Affadavit of Support.

My fiance (US Citizen) is an Army Veteran, got medically retired in 2018 and is currently in college under the vocational Rehabilitation program (chapter 31).

His monthly income is as follows:

1. disabilty pay from the VA $1,700/month

2. BAH (housing allowance) $1,200/month

3. every now and then a couple hundred $ for School supplies

The Retirement pay and the BAH alone leaves him with roughly §35,000 a year, which is more than the 125% of the poverty guideline for our household size

I thought we would be good with him as my only Sponsor, but like I said I am starting to worry because I did some Forum Research. I am an overthinker and now I can't relax because I am afraid of getting a 221g at the Interview!! Unfortunately I cant really find a definite answer as to IF THE BAH Counts towards income for the I-134.

Could anyone please enlighten me or share their experiences (esp Frankfurt Embassy, but open to everything of course) ?

I'd rather be overprepared and show up with a co-sponsor, if we really have to, since we still have some time until my scheduled interview.

Thank you!!
