It took a total of 7 days (including Sat. & Sun) for our case to get to NVC. It left for Ethiopia 4 days after that. You might be at NVC already, the automated system would never accept my WAC number. When you call you MUST speak to a live person, they can tell you about your case and the new NVC number. Also, inorder to reach a person you have to go through the automated system you will have to hold, if your hold is deemed too long by the system it will tell you to call back later and hang up on you. Best to call very first thing in the morning or near closing. Even after I spoke with someone at NVC and had my new case number I still coud not get info from the automated options.

Also, NVC is supposed to send a letter saying the received the case and it was forwarded to the XYZ embassy. I still have not recieved that letter (or my NOA2!). You can e-mail NVC too. It took them 3 days to reply to me, but wasn't a generic response- it answered my questions.

I was just wanting to get an idea about how long it takes for CSC to mail our packets to NVC. I am still waiting for them to receive mine. Does the NVC send an email or just a letter via postal mail?

Thanks!

They never sent me a letter stating when our case was mailed to the embassy. I did email NVC and they emailed me back letting me know that the case was mailed to the embassy. So, if you just received your hard copy of NOA2, your case will probably be mailed to the embassy by the end of this week or beginning of next week and then the long wait for pkt#3. 30 days to receive a pkg from a two hour destination by car ( Kingston to St Elizabeth) is just unheard of to me. That would have taken 2 to 3 days here.

Good luck with everything.

Hello

Once NVC recieves it...they are QUICK to DHL it. I remember being in your situation...it took a couple of weeks for NVC to recieve the info from CSC and both places were helpless.....you should recieve a notice when it leaves the NVC...I did.

I must have called both places everyday....acting like a mad woman....because I did not understand why no one had no info :) Whew.....brings back memories :) Just know that once NVC recieves it....it should be a piece of cake from there.....good luck and best wishes :)

To Blessed to be stressed:) I realize that all things have a purpose and a time.....have faith and the Lord Almighty will provide... when the time is right, he NEVER fails!

Each time that I have called the NVC was to speak with someone. I am assuming that my case is in transit to the NVC being that the last touch from USCIS was on May 29.

It is relatively fast! Looking at my web pages from 'NOA2 issued' to 'received by NVC' is anywhere from 2 to 14 days, but most tend to be a few days.

I was told they send receipts snail mail, but I simply called the NVC about every 2 days (push option 1, then 5) until they had my case and then kept it up until they mailed it out. They are really quick and courteous compared to CSC.

I am in Costa Rica visiting my SO right now, and we intend to drive over to the embassy on Friday and get an update from the horse´s mouth. NVC gave me a case number and said they sent our papers DHL on Monday. Maybe we can pick up packet 3 while we are there at the embassy...

Good luck and chin up!!!! Ken

Girl, I am right along with you. In fact, I was about to post the same question. We got our NOA2 on May 23 and still no case at NVC. I am sitting here by the clock waiting for them to open so I can call and talk to someone. I call everyday. I am definately beyond mad now.
