I am sorry to learn that you already got visa issue and cancelled after they found out the wedding. I am wondering what will happen if your husband didn't answer his phone or if he already gone to US with fiance visa. Same here we marry in church and the question never come up during interview. I still don't think they know about our wedding.

They would cancel the visa even if the husband didn't answer the phone.  If he had gone to the US, he would have been refused entry because the visa would have been cancelled.

Once again, it didn't come up is not how this works.  You are required to disclose, and you didn't.

The previous K1 visa shouldn't be issue I guess. But they are going to be more scrutinize because they think it is fraud not telling them wedding while processing k1 visa. Just make sure that everything is in place.

IT IS FRAUD for not telling about your wedding and marriage certificate while processing the K-1 visa.

Nice.  Lying for a K-1.  You hid the marriage certificate, claimed you were not married for the K-1 interview, and now you would like to use the marriage certificate for the CR-1.  Good luck.

Yep

That’s so sad 😞, you’d think they’d of given u a waiver purely because you did the ceremony for compassionate reasons, without legal registration, particularly if you had supportive medical documents...

well i I hope your dad is better and wish you a speedy ir1 process

Yes we did have medical documents. They still didnt. I don't  blame them.. If they issue it for us..I guess in future, people may use the same reason as an excuse. It was our fault. We learned a good lesson in a hard way for not seeking guidance on immigration. What's funny is that I am someone who usually look up and read a lot before actually doing something and I always try my best to do everything according to the law. In this case, I didn't because I was so upset and depressed about my dad's condition and I assumed we were doing the right thing since it was just a religious ceremony.

Thanks everyone for the comments and guidance!

Good luck to everyone!

So you show the medical document and they still would not give you a waiver. Just do it right this time for CR1. As long as you guy are for real, I don't see why not, you just have to keep on trying. I will do the same here. Just a little bit of time and money. It will prevail. I am still curious how they can find out your wedding. It is a mystery.

There is no waiver for being married and getting a K-1.  It doesn't matter what medical document shows.  Marriage is a disqualification for the K-1 and there is no waiver.
