We just received our Case Complete on Sept 9th for my CR-1 visa. And now am waiting to get our interview date scheduled at the US Embassy in Montreal.

What do I need to bring to the Interview? The travel.state.gov website says to bring originals of all civil documents, medical exam results, and tax receipts/W2s.

But I’ve read in some forums that people have also brought proof of bonafide marriage (photos, text message records, etc.) Do I need to bring all this? Didn’t we prove our marriage at the I-130 step of this process?

Congrats - and welcome to the waiting game club. We are IR1 and have been CC since June 4th, just waiting patiently for any peeps from the NVC.  There is a group chat of folks all waiting for interviews in Montreal with CC dates of Mid-April until now.

As a note, because I'm pedantic, the only US embassy in Canada is in Ottawa.  All the rest, including Montreal, are consulates.

Yes you should bring relationship evidence.  Will they look at it? Probably not.

Pedantic means "like a pedant," someone who's too concerned with literal accuracy or formality. It's a negative term that implies someone is showing off book learning or trivia, especially in a tiresome way.

I am quite aware of what it means.
