Marriage certificate with wrong age

I’ve just had a closer look at my marriage certificate and it has me and my husband’s DOB and ages on it. I turned 23 the day before we got married, but the certificate says 22 — I guess going by how old I was when we applied for the marriage licence. Will this pose an issue with USCIS during AOS, etc.? Will my husband and I need to go back to the county clerk to have it fixed?

If it has your DOB and the DOB is accurate then you should probably be fine...

Yeah, the DOB is fine, it’s just the age itself. Maybe it isn’t wrong, I just don’t know if it’s there to reflect the age I was when I got married? That was why I’m wondering about it.

of course they are going to put your age at the time that you got married..its not like we need to update our marriage certificate every year😁😁

you'll be fine

But the age on the certificate isn’t the one from when I was married, it’s a year younger. I had just turned 23 the day before our wedding day.

DOB is most important. I agree with the other poster I think you'll be fine!

i see. they supposed to fix the license when they knew you'd get married after you turn 23.. marriage certificate just follow the license. maybe ask the judge who married you is my first move?but your dob is in there thats the most important.

Don't worry about it.The same thing happened to me. My birthday was after we applied for the license and before we got married, so my age on the license doesn't reflect my actual age at marriage. I asked the township clerk about it, and she said it doesn't matter. My birth date is recorded, and as @FilAm24said, "..its not like we need to update our marriage certificate every year"  Anyway, Congratulations!!!

Ah, OK! It’s relieving to know it’s happened to someone else at least. I was beginning to worry because getting around town is almost impossible for me during business hours and it all just becomes a stressful mess. I’ll leave it as is then, I guess!
