Hiya,

Firstly thank you for all the information on the this website and forum, it has been so so helpful! My fiancee and I are getting ready to submit our K1 visa application I-129F and  just wanted to clarify a few things regarding the evidence/proof of having met within the last two years.

Thankfully I happen to have the airline tickets , most boarding passes and luggage tags for each of our visits in December 2017, May 2018, February/Mach 2019 and most recently August 2019. I planned to attach these to a page collectively under the respective dates above, along with corresponding stamps scanned from my passport. Do you think that this will be alright? I also have accommodation receipts and movie tickets/event tickets that we have been to together.

I will be including photos with dates and locations in the package as well behind the above mentioned pages correlating with our visits.

I am unsure if at this first initial stage if we need to attach screenshots of our conversations or if this is better to submit further along? I guess I just want to provide as much initial evidence as possible to hopefully make things a little easier.

Thanks so much for reading, and any insight you can provide, I really appreciate it!

:)

You only need to prove ONE meeting.   Pictures are secondary evidence and don't prove meeting in a certain time frame.   Chats have zero utilitarian value for the petition.

YMMV

Much of that (luggage tags?) is unnecessary.  Boarding passes and passport stamps are the best primary evidence.

Screen shots of convos = not needed, even at the consular stage for Sydney.

Photos are up to you.  We did not provide any snapshots, just the required 2x2 passport-style photos.

It is my personal opinion, but I can recommend you to submit all the evidence you mentioned. We filed for K-1 6 months ago and yesterday I walked out of the US Consulate after my visa was approved during the interview. During the interview they didn't ask me to provide a single proof of ongoing relationship or any evidence of relationship. I believe this is because we submitted a lot of evidence with the petition. Has it made things easier for me? I honestly don't know...I carried a lot of evidence of relationship anyway, so I could have provided it during the interview, if needed... But I can certainly tell you I'm glad I did what I did.

Also, make sure that both of you include a detailled account of your relationship in a Letter of How We Met.

Good luck!

"Life is a journey." At this moment, it's taking me to the USA to the woman I love.
