They received our stuff on May 23, cashed the check, but I haven't received one single thing in the mail yet.

I have no idea why it seems like we are having to wait longer than everyone else. Has anyone else had to wait this long? I mailed off the application April 26th for Pete's sake!

I have a receipt #, thank God, at least it's something.

Sorry, I'm just very discouraged and needing some encouragement! :crying:

If they cashed your check and you have a receipt number then you know that your petition is in the system. It looks like a lot of people are taking a long time to get into the system but apparently this is not unusual. And I guess it is just taking a little bit to get the stuff mailed out (who knows?).

Don't worry about it since you have a receipt number. That is the most important thing.

And hang in there, we are all in the same boat :)

I know... it's just hard not to be jealous of those that received their NOA1 only nine days after mailing their application. It's been one month, one week & three days for us... and counting.

Doesn't make sense to me. But we're hanging in there. Glen's (thankfully) very patient. Me... not so much!!

Tell me about it. My fiance has banned me from saying anything about the visa until we get and RFE (hopefully not) or are approved. And he has told me that I can only check the status online once a week  because he knows I am going to drive him mad. But remember, the NOA1 is not the important documnet, the NOA2 is. So, I say, wait to freak out until later in the process :)

LOL, you must have had the same guy as me! He told me I had to wait that long as well. Thankfully, I was able to read my receipt # so now they at least take me a bit more seriously.

Good luck to you!! May our time FLY BY!!

It's so hard to wait. And it feels great when you receive the NOA1 ... makes your petition official. But the waits are endless. You've gotten on the roller coaster now (with the rest of us). Do what you can to stay occupied, active, and connected with family and friends.

You might make a phone call to inquire. Remember that it's now the busy season for USCIS and they will be unindated with petition filings through the fall. Hang tight - yours is in there!

Thank you soooooo much for the support. It helps to know we're all on the roller coaster together.
