Translation of receipts

Hi,

 

We have many receipts from pubs, hotels.

We payed with card at the same time and at the same places. 

On the receipts, there are our card number's last 4 numbers, and the date of payment.

 We attach our bank card's copy, so it means they can see we payed at these places.

 

My question is, should these receipts been translated? Because every other information on it is a foreign text, except the dates, and the places names, and city.

I can't tell you if they should be translated from an official standpoint, but I can tell you what I did.

I also had many receipts from hotels, plane tickets, train tickets, etc, which were in Chinese.

I'm fluent in Chinese myself. so I did not hire a professional translator.

Nor did I translate every single word on the receipts. What I did do was translate what seemed like the most pertinent information on the receipts, i.e. my fiancee's name (which was written in Chinese), the name of the hotel, the date of the reservation, and that was pretty much it. 

I also used a highlighter to highlight all of the pertinent information. 

And I included a "statement of translation" with my packet certifying that I am fluent in Chinese and English, with my wet signature and date.

I can't tell you if all of this was necessary, but our case was approved, so it can't have hurt.

Thank you. 

I already highlighted the dates, and our bank card numbers on it, and the places names and the country. But then i will write a short description on it.
