Anyone else interviewing tomorrow?

Both @Meg101 and I have our K1 interviews tomorrow morning (mine’s at 11:30) - is anyone else interviewing tomorrow? If so, good luck and don’t be a stranger!

How are you feeling? I’m at my air bnb near by in Vauxhall and incredibly nervous!! Lol. Wishing you lots of luck for the morning. I’ll be the one looking like I got zero sleep and crapping myself that my backpack is too big to bring inside haha. 😃

Well, I’m super jet-lagged, as only got back from visiting my fiancé in LA a few hours ago - so you won’t be the only one looking washed out! 😫

 

I don’t feel nervous though - I’m currently at my sister and brother-in-law’s apartment in Highbury New Park, chilling whilst they cook me dinner 😆. Will catch the tube in the morning - it’s about a 30 minute bus/tube ride, plus a ten minute walk from Vauxhall station. But no, I have all the relevant documents, so I’m feeling pretty relaxed about tomorrow 👌. 

 

I have a couple of huge suitcases with me as I took loads of stuff over to leave at my fiancé’s - but going to leave them here and pop in after the interview to pick them up. Could you leave your backpack with the reception at your hotel and pick up after?

Awh it must be nice to have some company tonight even if you are Jet lagged. i’m on my Todd and eating a ready meal for dinner 😂 I can’t leave my bag anywhere unfortunately because I’m staying at an air bnb and headed back home tomorrow later on after the interview. So hopefully they will let me in with it. Surprising how heavy the paperwork is but then I’ve probably gone overkill. 

 

I wish I was feeling confident but not at all. Can’t wait for it to be over with lol. If by chance we see each other tomorrow, hope your confident vibes rub off on me lol 🙂😃

Well, I’ve had a visa interview at the embassy before (for my B2), so remember it being fairly relaxed - they honestly aren’t looking for reasons to deny. 

 

My interview is at 11:30, so going to get there for 11:00. Is there a Starbucks near Vauxhall station by the way? I’d love a coffee for the walk 🙃.

 

Definitely come say hi! I have nearly knee-length dreads, so easy to spot 😆.

Awh well If you have been to the embassy and been interviewed before, I can see why you would feel more relaxed but sure hope all goes smoothly. It’s been a long time coming for us (met 6 years ago) so I’m full of emotion lol. 

 

There could well be a Starbucks or Costa somewhere but the only places I noticed on my short walk out the station to my Air BnB were Nando’s and Sainsbury’s but that’s in the opposite direction. I’m thinking of going early and finding somewhere to have a coffee before going inside for 10am. 

 

Keeping fingers crossed for no rain in the morning too.

There's a Waitrose right next to the embassy, which I believe has a cafe. A bit better than the Pret I stopped off at last year

☕Starbucks near/at  the station.

2 South Lambeth Rd, Vauxhall, London, SW8 1SP, UK

 

Open Google maps on your phone and type in Starbucks, then directions walking and it should walk you right to it with a little breadcrumb trail.
