I want to know how you seem to have gotten through to them atleast five or six times already. What's your secret ? :)

like i said before, end the call right away if you dont hear the tone and call right back non stop until you hear the tone. it always works.

I’ve called them as soon as they open at 7am EST or just after. So figure out what the time difference is in your time zone and arrange yourself to be free to call. I was on hold for no more than 30mins

My fiancé’s job has an electronic payroll system, so all work info like payslips and W2s are store on the system and he has to print them himself. Will the embassy accept these as evidence??

Thanks everyone!!

They definitely will. If anything it's even better than just a copied check.

So my case has been received!! Whoop whoop!!

For those who are struggling to get through to the NVC via phone, my trick has been calling them as soon as they open. I’ve called 3 times all around same time (the 2nd time I got through but my phone service cut out so got disconnected).

So those who are experienced, what’s the next steps?? I know I have to collect all my supporting evidence and the I-134. And wait on the Interview date to then schedule my medical and get my police check.. but is there anything else I could do in the meantime??

Thanks in Advance

:)

Guys, so like the lady said over the phone... me and my wife both got an email from NVC early this morning at 8:30am ET. with the case number!! it took me 41 days for me to get a case number.

i have logged in to the website to process with DS-260 fees that is ready to be paid.

im a little bit confuse.. do we choose an agent first or can i pay fees right away?

You need to choose an agent first, then pay the fees.  From NVC website

Step 1: Choose an Agent

Your first step is to choose an agent.

Your agent will receive communication from the NVC about your case. You may act as your own agent or you may choose your petitioner, a family member, friend, attorney, immigration professional, or any other person you trust. You may have an agent that represented you and the petitioner in the petition process with USCIS. However, you will need to formally select an agent to represent you for your visa processing.

To choose your agent, complete the Choice of Address and Agent (DS-261) form in the Consular Electronic Application Center.

Yes you can.

E-mail: NVCInquiry@state.gov

Subject line:  USCIS Receipt number from your I-797 Notice of Action (NOA)

Body of email:   "Requesting case file number"   (plus include below required information)

REQUIRED SECURITY INFORMATION:
(You are required to provide the following security information with each inquiry to receive a case specific response):

* USCIS Receipt Number from your NOA-2  (Place in the subject line of the e-mail).
* Petitioner's name and date of birth.
* Beneficiary's name and date of birth.

K-1 are processed like an immigrant visa, but are NOT immigrant visas, so they fall into a completely different class of their own.

K-1 visa:  1-603-334-0888 Operator assistance is available Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM (Eastern Time) .

What to Prepare Before Calling:

You will need the following information before you call:
– Name and date of birth of the beneficiary
– Name and date of birth of the petitioner
– Receipt number from your NOA-2

I have just called NVC and they gave another e-mail address to find out  where the process is.

Our NOA2 is dated 24 July 2019 and we are still waiting a response by NVC. I called them and was told that it can take a while because reasons. However, the e-mail address provided was nvcresearch@state.gov rather than NVC inquiry. I asked whether it was different from the NVC inquiry, and the lady said yes, as it’s a different department apparently. She didn’t go into much detail as to the differences, but maybe they deal with different streams of people asking what is going on?

The subject and body of the e-mail should consist of what has been quoted above.

So I hope that helps. I’m going to give it a try now!

The email I gave is solely for requesting the case file number.

Being your NOA2 dates back to July and you still haven't cleared NVC  you for sure have different issues.  Like ...  "where the heck is my case file?"

Much of what is sent out by NVC is focused on the Immigrant visas ... and do not apply to the K-1

You are correct, all you need to do for now is wait for NVC to complete their review, affix the case file number to your package and forward it to your embassy.

You can call, email or wait for the snail mail from NVC with your case file #
